Have you talked to a Dermatologist or even your regular doctor? Cystic acne is generally caused by bacteria trapped under your skin. You may need antibiotics, topical, oral, or both.
the hole thing about steaming your face and how oh its so bad thats bull crap i steam my face and i used to have such bad acne and then i started stemming my face and its really helped me alot so if your gonna say its bad for you face then your damn stupid

Well, hot steam opens up your pores so that’s why hot showers are good for preparing your skin to be exfoliated or cleansed. However, with your pores open, it traps more bacteria so it’s best to use cold water or rub ice onto your skin after cleansing it to close your pores.

im not pro on acne but i do have it and i do know its the a bitch,but what i also know is acne is provoked my certain foods could be dairy could be red meats could be all these chemicals u read in chip bags or bread bags that u cant even pronounce
yes, she’;s truly right because my dermatologist said that I can’t do hot showers since I do my treatment , diet and others advices for acne.
It’s really confusing, because there’s a video on the side from ‘Howcast’ and that woman takes a steam facial against acne. They say that works… I haven’t tried it yet, and I don’t think i’m going to do it since you’ve said you shouldn’t. But I’m really in a doubt right now….

are you saying hot showers are bad for acne? i’m only 14 now and iv’e had acne for over 1 year and my life is….another way to say it: it would be better in hell then having acne!………. so your saying hot shower are bad for acne? i take shower with extremely hot water! reply if it isn’t good!
Try it… It’s just Omega fatty acids, also you can try fresh flax seed oil or hem oil (read the dosage carefully!) . Thees oils are very high in Omega fatty acids and very good for your skin plus thay come from plant source…:-)
actually my acme was worse with products turns out acme is caused by dried skin all products will make it worse so aloe vera loshion from the dollar store cleared mine up after suffering for about eight years in about a week and it was really bad i mean really bad
hey, before i use a face mask (from lush) i steam my face and so far it has been fine :s
so i’m really confused now =(
i heard that saunas and steaming were good for spots, i boil a kettle then put it in a pirex bowl, leave it for a couple of minutes then put my head over it, about 4 inches away with a towel over my head then put my facemask on. x

chicken pox is like acne when it turn like a spot so they say hot showers r good for chicken pox . so lukewarm water cause acne ?
